Beautiful Feet

Each year, hundreds of thousands of US dollars are spent on shoes. Many girls have entire shoes collections, and now boys are becoming shoe connoisseurs as well. From trendy emo skate shoes to classic dress shoes, everyone has at least one good pair.

Would it change the way most people looked at footwear to tell them that God thinks they have beautiful feet? It’s true. No matter the shape, color, or size, your feet are indeed very beautiful if you are willing to share your faith with others.

In Isaiah 52:7, there is some great information about how God views our feet. The verse says, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’” This information is repeated again in Romans 10:15. So, as you can see, if you are unafraid to share your faith with others, you too have beautiful feet.

So why does God refer to our feet? Why doesn’t He talk about our hands or our faces? Well, God mentions feet in many other locations in Scripture. One such location, found in Psalm 119:105, says that God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our paths. So, if we use His words to see where to put our feet, talking about those same words would mean our feet were standing and walking in His light, making them very lovely.

Understanding this concept, some have even taken it a step further by wearing Christian footwear. This footwear acknowledges your beautiful feet as God’s feet, just like in the Audio Adrenaline song, “Hands and Feet.” Today, you can find Christian shoes with verses and Biblical messages printed on them. This brand of designer footwear is great for those who want to openly admit to their faith, walk in the light, and have beautiful feet. Plus, these shoes come in many different styles and sizes to suit individual needs and styles.

Christian footwear is not necessary to have beautiful feet, but it definitely helps spread the message. So, the next time you talk about your faith with a friend or mention going to church at the office, remember how beautiful your feet are to God. And don’t worry about what others think of you or how others might view your feet. If you are standing with God, He says “He will not let your foot be moved” (Psalm 121:3).
